Is this safe to use for coral fragging?

Hi all, just quickly, is this safe to use to attach a coral to my rock? It's superglue gel that contains Ethyl 2 cyanoacrylate. I've read this is safe, just wanted to check so I don't mess up my tank.

I would attach coral to a plug/rubble via glue then the plug/rubble to the rock via epoxy.

It seems your choice would be fine. I have never used or researched it though.

I love Seachem Reef glue. It has way more consistency than the Loctite Gel Control, however the Loctite works. I have used both and I personally don't think it is close. The Seachem needs no time out of water and still stays in a nice glob to fill in crevices if needed. I agree with the epoxy to the rock, unless you don't want to remove it. The Epoxy is much more forgiving.

Ive noticed the exact opposite. I tried seachem with palys/zoas and they tend to not adhere to the glue very well. To each their own I guess lol

Hi thanks for all your replies, the reason I have to use this is because I just got home from the store with corals (ah the joys of impulse buying) and I don't have a frag kit. This is all I have lying around and so I guess it will have to do for now.

By the way, how do you attach soft corals? This xenia doesn't seem to have a 'base' and it feels very delicate

I also use loctite. Just put a good amount of gel on a rock or plug then put the xenia on it hold for30 sec or as long as the xenia hold up then dip it in water.

The Xenia should have a mat like zoas and palys do.
If they're on a plug, just chop off the base and leave the disk. Glue the disk to the rock

Xenias all sorted now, thanks. By any chance, is this a mat? It was slightly attached to my GSP so I left it in but if it's not alive I'll take it out.

Sorry I'll try and get a better one. It came semi attached to my GSP but was like a layer underneath. It has no green 'stars' on it but has bumps, similar to what you'd see when it was closed up but if anything is on there, it certainly hasn't opened up.
