Tested today and I have .25 ppm ammonia no nitrite and 5.0 ppm nitrate and a pH of 8.0 is it safe to add my coral? or at least one more fish to help the cycle along? or even add some inverts?

Thanks In Advance!

With the ammonia I would suggest waiting. If it is an up spike it could be bad. If not then you will be fine.

I don't think its an up spike, due to the fact that it was closer to .75 ppm yesterday and the day before... I think its on its way down, however if I add another fish, or inverts, wouldn't that cause a natural spike?

No, do not add anything until you have 0 readings on ammonia and nitrites....after the ammonia goes to 0 the nitrites will spike.

+1 No ammonia and nitrites

anything living shouldn't be in a cycling tank besides whatever you get from your liverock.

Patience young grasshopper. I would wait until you are reading 0 on both ammonia and nitrites before adding anything to the tank. I know it can be hard but for the well being of your livestock it is better to let the cycle finish before adding anything and when you do make sure not to overload the biological filtration too quickly but give things time to adjust to the increase bio load ;)
