Is this skeleton? Is he dying?

Okay, so I actually ordered mg, alk and ca. They should arrive anytime now and I’ll update everyone. Thanks a lot :)
Excellent, these 3 must be managed for growth.
Get MG in the slot first, that will make it easier to manage Alk and CA. Alk needs to remain steady.

Also, I always use my Hanna UL Phosphorus for testing PO4.
I was surprised at the impact of phosphate on the corals. Too much they darken and slow in growth, too little they retract, starve and look generally, unhappy.

I dose phosphate daily to keep this parameter, steady in the 0.75-.1ppm range.

Nitrate is 2-5ppm for me.

When you do your weekly water changes... Mix the water with a slightly lower level of alkalinity and it will come down slowly
Please excuse my ignorance but lower alkalinity= less salt right

Pretty dang solid for not testing and tracking. Run the alk test again a few times. Doubtful it's actually that high.
Thank you. I’ll run it today after work! It was my first time measuring. So maybe I did it wrong.

Just as an update, I’m still waiting for my phosphate tests ughh Amazon says they’ll come at the end of this month or early next month. The stupid stuff I do to save a couple of bucks

They ate fickle pains in the rear. That is why the Hannah checkers are so heavily recommended. Even the hannah can be a bit odd. I often, but not always, run two test just to check.
