Is this skimmer too big for my tank

I am building a 150 gallon with total water volume of 200 or so gallons. I was planning an ATS and ordered a Reef Octopus elite 200 INT. These would be my main nutrient export. Well got home today, skimmer had arrived. They sent the 220 INT instead of the 200. Will the 220 be too much for my tank?? Thanks

That would be a score then because the 220 is priced higher. The 200 was rated 200 gallon heavily stocked and the 220 is rated for 300 heavily stocked. I guess if it pulls too much I could always just run it part time..

Yes, it can only pull so much waste out anyways. If there isn't anything for it to pull out it works as another pump.

LOL. I don't think I will need one that size. I called them and sent email just to be sure they know they sent the wrong size. I don't mind the bigger skimmer but there is a $70 or more price difference between the 2 so I don't want to feel like I robbed them. Im sure the cost of shipping would be as much as they lose on the skimmer so it will be a wash but I want to feel good about it...
