Is this some sort of coral or something else??

Just noticed one of my snails has some sort of build up on its shell and looks like green polyps or am I just crazy?

Can't really tell from the image, but I've seen snail shells with all sorts of stuff growing on it - so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

I think watching a furry green snail scamper around like a hedgehog would be kind of funny...
