Is this some sort of nest?

I have a serpent starfish, cleaning shrimp, an emerald crab, dwarf hermits, a Pom Pom crab, royal gramma, clownfish and a damsel. Could this be a nest of some kind?

Those are sponges. Harmless filter feeders
