My Flame Angel has what looks like skim peeling close to the top of his fin. It's only on one side of him. It didn't seem to have it yesterday. Any idea that it could be?

Sounds/looks like physical damage that may be getting infected. Can you post a photo of the abrasion under white light?

+1 The blue light makes it harder to see, but I agree with humblefish

Yup I agree that's definitely damage. Hopefully it's not infected. If not, he should heal up fine with good water parameters!

Yeah I'll try to get a good one. But when the whites did come on, it just looked like skin was peeling the actinic lights actually exaggerate how it looks

It does look like some minor damage. With vitamins in good/healthy food, clean water and low stress, this will probably heal up on it's own. Though having antibiotics on hand is never a bad idea just in case.

+1 Food soaking Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem or some other vitamin supplement should do the trick.

Okay! Thank you guys so much! I was getting worried for no reason. They do get fed pretty well and I'll pick some antibiotics up tomorrow

Any cleaner shrimp in the tank? They usually help a fella out[emoji6]

Great! They really are cool little guys and most fish allow them to clean them up. Usually the larger ones like yellow tangs and dwarf angels also clownfish IME. But smaller fish don't seem as gung ho.
