Is this tank safe to use

This is a brand new tank I filled up in my garage to leak test.

there is micro bubbles on the silicone seams. ( bottom right pic). Not visible when empty

On one panel on each side there is these spots about 6 inch from the bottom.
( bottom left and middle pics)


On the inside bottom of the tank there is a corner missing a layer of clear silicone. (Top pic)

Its a marineland tank, ive been told this is normal for mass produced tanks and dont worry about it.

What do you guys think

With as easy as it is to re-caulk a tank I myself would cut it out and re-caulk it. I dont like to take chances when it comes to water and keeping the wife happy there is no floods.

I've only seen this happen to tanks which have been filled before the silicone has cured properly. (manufacturer should be holding on to the tank until its cured properly, if you can still smell acetic acid it's not cured)
I'd send it back personally could be fine but I wouldn't take the risk.

How would i go about resealing ? Take top and bottom trim off, scrape all silicone and rebuild the tank basically ?

If its new - I would send it back (at their expense) unless they say its ok - if you 'reseal it' you'll haver no warranty

Im pretty sure im getting my money back and i dont have to return the tank thats why im wondering about repair. But if id have to take everything apart and rebuild it ill just buy a new one.

For some here that would be an easy task. For me - I would every day think - what if I did it wrong. Get a new tank. I may be wrong - but I think this has been an issue before with this manufacturer....

Having said that - I broke the bottom of a 72 gallon bowfront - I redid it - as a breeding tank in the basement near a drain. If you're putting that tank anywhere near something that can be damaged - get a new one that will let you sleep at night
