So over the past few days I have noticed an increase in this brown/rust like color algae all over my rocks. This tank is only about 3 months old so I was thinking it was just the new tank diatoms but now that I see the bubbles I'm not so sure anymore.

A little tank info:
20 gallon Nuvo with AI prime HD LED
2 occ clowns, Midas Blenny, cleaner shrimp and a CUC.
I have some GSP and a few zoa frags.
Nitrate is 10
Ph is 8.4
Phosphates are between 0 and 0.03
Kh is 9
Calcium is 400
I don't have a test for mag.

Fish and corals are happy.

Now sometimes I bubbles look kind of stringy but for the most part they aren't and it seems to bush off the rock quite easily.

What do you guys think?

Awww man!!!! Thanks for the congrats! Lol.

So my first plan of attack should be? A 3 day black out?

So it's not Dino? I'm down with the uglies!!! But the bubbles made me suspicious... it's so hard to tell.
And my snails don't seem to touch it.

lol.
cyano makes bubbles too. to its really tough to tell sometimes. if it doesn't go away after weeks I usually worry. I dont like to jump right to the worst case off the bat.
Fwiw Ive never seen my snails eat cyano. some say yes though,

Whew.. that makes me feel a lot better salty!! Thanks so much! I will monitor it and go from there.
yea no sweat. Blow it off, do a wc buy a coral.;)
Hows the rest of the tank doing?
fwiw dinos come in on fish coral and other funky stuff. Your pretty land locked so Id guess most of your corals are picked through and dipped a dozen times so Id say its rare.(im in SD and its rare) and we get stuff right off the plane. still dip (qto_O) and your usually fine. Bayer does nothing for dinos btw. And most of our importers use a cocktail of dipps.

Everything else tankwise is going great! Had some cloudy water last week but put in a bag of chemipure and it seemed to knock it out. Fish and coral are happy and fat.
I don't QT my stuff but I dip my coral in coral rx.

I agree with Salty, it looks like new tank cycling.

This is what I have running for the past week or so. I've only had the light for about a week so I'm still messing with it.

I had the same stuff going on in my newest tank. I added 6 fighting conchs and they literally wiped it out over the first night.

I'll have to look into that.
There's also a ton of bubbles floating.. looks like they are detaching from the rock.
