Is this too late?

Hasn't been eating and in thr main tank kept getting caught in the wavenakers so I had to turn them off.. now in separate tank
Yes- that is the result of being moribund and I hate to say but will continue to weaken.

I agree. I have a big one and would be devastated. These guys as you know startle easily and I would not be surprised if it crashed into glass but also could be internal

Ya he was fine for so long then all of a sudden. All other fish just thriving

I would like to know if there is any likelihood this is due to foxface venom?
Almost a year ago, I lost a butterflyfish suddenly one evening. I had dosed PraziPro to the QT, but it did not seem to impact the butterflyfish when I first added it. When I entered my basement fish room, the fish in the QT would often swim to the other side of the tank quickly. There were also 3 foxface rabbitfish in this tank, and I think there is a possibility the butterflyfish darted under the same resin rock as the foxfaces and could have gotten spiked (though I could not confirm anything at the time).

The butterflyfish was found in a similar state to your fish in the pictures a while after I first entered the fish room and dosed PraziPro. It died within a couple hours after. This seems to have some similarities to your case, as both fish seem paralyzed and both were or could have been spiked by a foxface.

My case is far over and yours seems likely to end in death of the afflicted fish, but I am wondering how hazardous foxface venom is to other fish in the tank?

Sorry to see......

While it could be a reaction to the foxface venom, I would expect that to be more immediate, not come along days later. I've had fish stung by other fish, and the toxins have immediate affect.

Here is a though though - if the wound was deep, it certainly wasn't sterile. What if a bacterial abscess developed - that would take some time.

I think the copper is a red herring - the fish had symptoms prior to dosing the copper, so it is pretty difficult to blame the copper....that said, cupramine is more toxic to fish and I don't see anything here that copper would likely help with.

Oh - that’s the wound below the pectoral fin? There is vital organs there, any infection there would be very serious. I think that’s your smoking gun.

Ya I figured. I believe that puncture may have come from the foxface.
So an infection may have done ?

Yes, or direct damage to an organ. I once had a FW stingray stab a catfish in the belly and it died a few days later. The liver had gotten punctured.
