Is this too much flow for my torches?

So i just want others opinions but the torch in the back has been in here for about 2 weeks and the pink tipped one in front I placed about 2 hours ago just want others opinions if it looks like a bit much flow.

Video works for me, and it looks like a lot of flow for a torch IMO, but I am far from an expert.

The best way to tell is to go by how the coral reacts.

For my euphyllias I try to get a fairly gentle sway.

Hard to do in a 15 gallon tank lol so it's hard to get a gentle sway wherever I place them.

Can’t see the video on my iPhone, but the tentacles on my dragon soul are usually blown sideway. One head became two after three months. No direct flow.

Honestly it's hard to judge what is too much flow even to the smallest degree, that being said I can see all these videos of torches and the flow they are getting is substantially greater then what is in my tank. So if someone has a video or link to what the proper flow should look like on my torches please post it so it can help me to understand the coral more because i am struggling to find a good video showing it tbh.

It seems they are swaying back and forth and not in one direction. Maybe slow it down and gradually increase the flow.

your getting good random direction to your flow so i would say your power head placement is spot on. but the amount of flow is a bit heavy, it has more of a jerking affect on the torch, you want more of a rolling action. here is what my flow looks like, my torches get full extension every day if it's to much they will shrink up trying to protect themselves.

Okay so in order to get the good random I have 2 powerheads one constant flow at 240gph and the other which idk the lowest setting but is on wave mode clashing at the surface near above the center of the tank but when I added in the new torch I turned off the constant 240gph and kept the wave mode one on but it is at its lowest setting so how can I fix this?

if it's already on the lowest setting i would move it toward the surface of the water, keep the same position as far as front to back in the tank, but move it higher up an inch or two at a time & then watch the tank giving it a few minutes to adjust & see if it tames it down a little.

Well it already is tbh the wave maker is in back left of tank at top left and the power with constant flow is in back right cross flowing near center front of tank.

ok now i see where the power head is at, just the one on the left of video running correct? looks like it's blowing toward the rocks. try moving the power head down in the tank about 2 inches or so, in the same corner then point it angled about 45 degrees toward the surface of the tank so it's blowing at the top of the tank & not the rocks. watch it for a bit if that seems to kill the flow in the tank, then you could turn it up a bit & see how that does.

it looks like they are still getting hit with direct flow. you want more of a indirect flow. i would try pointing it up toward the surface. the tank is kind of small to have it pointing in the direction of the rocks. i would start with the one powerhead running & see how it looks. turn it up a bit at a time if needed. if that's still to low flow you could turn it back down to the lowest setting then turn the other one on also pointing up at the lowest setting, & go from there but I'm thinking one might be enough if positioned in the right spot.
