I just noticed this patch on my Blue Hippo I’m very concerned gave it a fresh water dip there was a good amount of white floating debris left in the container.

I’ve never seen Velvet before and am concerned.

As these guys often dart into rocks due to startling easily, looks like a scrape injury/ rash like injury
Velvet will look like ich with a more powdery/dusty texture and fish will gasp or gasp at surface, stop eating, breathe heavily as examples. Keep an eye on area and if treatment needed due to sore development, you will treat with seachem Kanaplex

Thanks. I did a fresh water dip while waiting for a response. It now looks like it has ich bumps. Not sure what the that means. I’m going to QT and treat with copper. It’s all I have at the moment.

I watched the video, both the clown and the tang are really hyper and breathing fast. That may be a function of you being right there in their face videoing them, but maybe not. Does the tank have good aeration? I presume the water temperature is below 80f

(Was at work all day) . Sorry, the tank is/was 78.5. The Tang was pulled out last night and the others are all coming out tonight. The hippo hasn’t gotten worse. However, it is still breathing faster than usual. The others are going into a QT tank I bought tonight on the way home from work. I will just keep an eye on the clowns(thanks for the call out on the clown I hadn’t even noticed). If something looks off I’ll will post another video. But I’m assuming the hippo would have gotten worse in the last 24 hrs if it was velvet. But I’ve never encountered Velvet before so unfamiliar waters for me.
