Is this Waterbox 20 a good deal?

I'm in the market for an AIO and I just saw an ad online where the owner is selling his used 1.5-year-old tank for $475 USD ($650 CAD). It includes the following:

- Waterbox 20
- Nero 3
- AI Prime 16HD + mount
- Sicce 1.0 pump
- Live rock
- Lid
- Other items like refractometer, cleaning tools, etc.
- No scratches
- No stand

Also, shouldn't the logo WATERBOX be lasered in the top left corner? I can't see it here. Seems enticing but wondering what you guys think.

That’s a good deal because the Waterbox alone is $290, and the AI Prime with the stand is around $290, etc. And yes it is but you probably can’t see it because the blue lights.

You can get a brand new waterbox for $350, and brand new AI Prime for $400 (the other stuff is worthless) so you're getting only $100 off for used stuff. Plus you have to go there and get it it all out of his house, doing the work for him? No way I would go for that.

My attitude is always too bad for them, I always offer half price for used as a maximum offer. For just $100 off, better to get it from the store, that way you get the warranty and the store points.

Arghhh. Realistically, I would only need to add new sand and buy an RODI unit which isn't a problem. I'm trying to see if a new AIO would be around the same but it's closer to $2K with all the upgrades, gear, tools, etc. Decisions decisions.

I was gonna go the Breeder + FIJI AIO kit and do my own AIO but I only see bad reviews for the drop in AIO kits..

I was doing the math for a new setup, Waterbox 20 = $349, Nero 3 = $229.99, AI Prime + Mount = $370, 20 lbs of live rock = ~$100.

Roughly around $1,048 then I'd need to buy a lot of the cleaning stuff, by the time I'm done I'm thinking it'll be closer to $1400 with tax. Decisions..
