is this wrasse reef safe?

is the yellow tail coris wrasse reef safe and when adult

are these aggressive with other reef fish or eat your hermit crabs/snails

They can be aggressive and will also eat your snails and crabs. They are my favorite Wrasse though....I just can't keep one for the reasons I just gave :confused:
 
They are coral safe, sort of. They get big and boisterous, flipping sand and rocks causing a mess while they look for food constantly.

I would expect some attrition of your snails and crabs.

This pretty much covers it. Reaches 15" at maturity, therefore required a tank >200 gallons.

They can be kept in a reef tank, if you don't keep corals on the sand and keep everything else glued down well. And you're okay with them picking on your crabs/snails/shrimps.
