Is this wrasse saveable?

Got this one a week ago and dove straight in the sand. Just now it suddenly emerged but couldn't swim. He falls down like a rock and has a nasty wound or something on his tail.

Can I save him or is it a goner?

Sorry, but When a fish is ill to the point of being moribund, and unable to swim, there is usually nothing that can done for it that will work fast enough to save it.
That said, I know people don’t like to give up on their fish. How is it breathing? If it is still breathing normally, and since you have it isolated, you could consider antibiotic baths in a bucket. Do you have any antibiotics handy?

Unfortunately, I had to go 10 mins after taking the picture. Just as I was about to step out of the door, he was already dead.
