Got this frag of purple monster a few

weeks ago hasn't had any issues opening up but noticed these white dots on it while it was closed at night

very difficult to tell as the picture is too blurry/zoomed in. bring the frag closer to the water surface, or even better out of the water under white lighting so you can focus on a clearer picture.

rough guess i would say it MIGHT be bubble algae, but a clearer picture would be best

That's likely just the coloration. Some strains, notably jf kraks and utter chaos have white in the tissue.

But... you really need to take a better-focused pic if you want certainty.
