Picked up a couple frag from a local reefer. Couple days later I noticed these white spots on one of the frags. Is this zoa pox?

I'm not sure. Zoa pox will get worse and looks pretty nasty. I would watch it closely in the mean time. It looks like sand/detritus at the moment. Here's a pic I found for reference

What the name. One difference between Zoas and Payls is Payls pick up substrate particles during growth

If it doesn't blast off while using a Turkey baster, then it is most likely the beginning of pox. You have two options. One has cancer-causing chemicals. The other , is just a broad antibiotic that work better, imo and faster. Cephalexin. I can't understand for the life of me why people use potentially Dangerous solutions so readily. Bayer insecticide especially.
