Looks to be about 4 to 6 inches. Never seen him before. If a bristle, are they still reef safe at this size? Good? Bad? Bait?

Yes that's a bristle.
IMO they are good guys just be careful picking up a rock or a piece of coral from the sand as they might be under there and they can suck you in the tank and eat you in 1 minute.............. NAH ;) but they do sting and that ain't fun.
If they reach 6" or more in my tank and I found them they are out of there.

P1010976.JPG Lol. Thanx. I pulled him and threw him into my qt tank. Crazy how I've never seen it and tank is reaching the 1 year mark. This hobby keeps on amazing me.[/QUOTE]

I flush all Caribbean Fire worms. Believe me you have plenty more.( use these to remove http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/oceans-wonders-coral-forceps.html)
Common brisstle worms are ok with me and when 1.5" in size or less are harmless to touch.(at least for me)

Don't touch these: (see pic)

I would personally take him out they will suddenly rapidly increase, I'm my experience I had to get rid of them 5-10 daily ... way too many some even attacked the bottom of my soft corals.
