Is too many sponges a bad thing?

I was always told for years it’s a sign of a mature system .
That being said I have ugly bright yellow sponge in the bottom sides of a few large rocks .
Good thing most angelfish love eating it .

Maybe Godzilla larvae would eat mine but I think I heard they are banned from being imported now.

Even Archangel fish wouldn't be able to eat it. ;Cyclops

The only other way to remove it is with a razor knife and long nose pliers.

Yeah mines mostly on the bottom of the rocks also kind of hidden from direct light not sure if the flame angel has something to do with that but he sure loves nipping on them through the day

Hate that everything is being banned from being imported now, the prices on some fishes/corals have sky rocketed and has made the hobby more expensive than it is

Just like everything in life that we enjoy .
too many people enjoy it driving prices up

I’m following recommended dosage but I’ll cut down to half the portion. I don’t mind them just don’t know if there’s a bigger issue I should worry with them long term

Yeah they mostly do, it’s all pineapple sponges they’re mostly in display. Some of them on overflow and not many on sump
