phyo plankton, I was told to feed them 2x a week which from my understanding now was false. I put new ai lighting on my tank which created a huge alge bloom, I believe it is smothering them. my local fish store informed me not ro touch or brush them because they are sensitive

Phyto is fine. I would add oyster eggs, calanus, reef roids or Benepets coral food. If you have a soft bristle toothbrush, you can very gently brush off any algae. You can also run your fingers over to help remove algae. They are not that sensitive that you can’t touch or brush and algae is going to smother them if left on. High flow will also help with any algae trying to settle on them. I don’t know what else you have in the tank that needs the light, but if you can shade them a little it will help. If the polyps are expanding, that is the time to feed. Keeping up with water changes will help out a lot!

I appreciate the advice, I turned the reds and greens off and cut the white in 1/2 so my zoas have some light.i brushed them off with soft kids tooth brush. I have not seen the red or yellow open in sometime, but yellow one doesn't look hot, I brushed tank down and did water change. and put them directly in front of power heads, hopefully it's not to late

Hopefully, time will tell. You can always try spot feeding them and see if you get any response.
