Hi I really want a melanurus wrasse. I have only peaceful fish, 2 clowns, a fire fish, a yellow watchman goby and a midas blenny. I researched the melanurus and it states peaceful but then I've been told people have had it bully other fish.

Mine was almost always peaceful. It chased my goby just a little bit when i first got him, but that didn't last long. i had more of a problem with him jumping out of the tank than bullying. Now my tank is covered. i no longer have that wrasse though. My roommate took him with her when she moved out. Beautiful, great fish!!!

Mine is super peaceful. With the exception of food time, not aggressive, but definitely needs to gobble up the food before the others get it.

Same. Mine might be the most efficient eater of Mysis shrimp I've ever seen.

Mine is a model citizen, as long as I don't add any feather dusters. I see him chase the H. Chrysus once in a great while.

They are very strong, bold, active fish. Based on your stocking list, it will be the biggest and fastest fish in your tank, so i would be cautious. i have no problems with mine, but all my other fish are big and active as well. My female Maroon Clown hates him for some reason, but tangs, angels, etc., could care less. Mine is in a 150 and he is all over the place. He also needs a sand bed to sleep in at night.

But how large is the tank?

I have two clowns, a clown goby and the Melanarus. He’s a model citizen to fish and coral but I think he killed my cleaner shrimp and probably my emerald crab. I see him beating up on inverts all the time

180litre DT 120litre sump
Where I was looking at the melanurus it says minimum 150litre tank
That's quite on the borderline. The more space a fish has, the less likely it is to be aggressive.
