Husband knows nothing, except that it makes me happy.
BIGGER tank is his idea even!
The man loves me. <3
(IMO this is much better than conflicting ideas and budgets.)

thank fully my wife has come around and enjoys the hobby almost as much as i do

I "invaded" my husband's reefkeeping hobby about eight years ago. I am fascinated by all of it. I am a clam-a-holic and in general, reef-a-holic. On the upside, I nor he ever complain about the amount we spend. More times than not of late, I'm certain he wishes I didn't love it!

The girlfriend likes the fish (( though she seems to like fish that won't fit; too big or eat the corals )), and will even save a tipped over snail from time to time. She has been really great with helping me with water changes -- had my 6th back surgery in January and I am now back to the point were I can carry the water.

My wife loves the hobby until its time to change water or clean anything. But if it comes to adding things it's all hers. Then when friends come over its all her. Lol. But she just let me upgrade from a 60 cube to a 180. So I can't say much.

Yes... She is the nagger on keeping up on the water change and keeping it clean. But really I'm very lucky to have her in the hobby with me. Sure goes in the Frag tank and graba whatever she Wants.

my wife loved it tell the big crash now down sized to a 12g nano cube and a 40g breeder i think losing everything in 210 was to hard on her she wont even go in to a fish shop now

I broke up with my ex boyfriend because he told me I couldn't take any of my tanks when we moved in. He couldn't stand my tanks.

My wife is not involved in hobby. I would keep it this way because if she really knew how much some of the chalices costed, she would be a ill upset. Lol

The most my wife will do is feed the fish when I am not home. I wish she would be a bit more involved. I probably would have a larger tank.

Yes. My girlfriend comes to swaps, and we choose fish together etc. She knows how to do everything pretty much necessary to keep up the tank.

She feeds fish and corals as well. She loves the tank.

I love all these couple reef get stories, and I am really glad to say that the gf wants a tank of her own! Gunna be able little build off I think!!

The wife is very much involved. She loves the hobby and always helps out. It's so nice having someone to share it with that love it like you do. Sometimes the wallet suffer's though lol

if it wasnt for my wife there would be no
flame warasse trio or
rhomboid trio
next fish she wants is a trio of Japanese white bared anthius (these are the nicest fish ive ever seen)
heres a pic of them from reef builders
