I got a free spiderman rhodactis mushroom with a box of coral a couple years ago. They’re now taking over and killing the sps they touch. I’m looking for a fish that will eat them and maybe some clove polyps, but will mostly leave sps alone. No clams in my tank to worry about. It’s a standard 180 that is lightly stocked with tangs, anthias, and a couple of clowns. I’ve tried manual removal to no avail, and dont really want to tear out the left third of my rockwork.

Are there any good fish that will do the job?

None that I know of. A sharp woodworking chisel can be used to take a thin slice of rock under the foot to remove them. Unfortunately this does mean pulling out rocks to do it. I've cleared a few dozen invasive shrooms off of rocks in this manner.

So long as you take a thin slice below and don't leave any foot tissue, they should not regrow.
