After reading and reviewing everything possible and having a deal fall through on a 360g Peninsula I am back to the drawing board looking for a new tank(s).

I prefer not to go through a custom tank build, but I can't seem to find a Peninsula that is readily available outside of the waterbox or redseas. I was in vegas and looked at the ATM Platinum series, but it isn't the look I'm going for. This has lead me to look at two RS 650p to separate the rooms. There would be a walkway between the middle and I could either match the aquascaping and as much of the coral as possible or I could make them unique. One fish and one reef or whatever the combinations are limitless.

I had a deal on a 360g that would have solved the space issue as well as only having one tank to deal with. The complexity of having two, the costs of equipment, and separate maintain doesn't sound like it would be that much fun :) I am up for the challenge though.

Before I pull the trigger on two tanks - I was hoping for some guidance and thoughts from others that might have been through the same challenge

Welcome to R2R and thanks for joining us!

If you have 2 separate tanks you would have to get 2 separate sets of equipment and have 2 lots of maintenance to carry out, 2 lots of testing, 2 water changes etc etc.....

I’ve got the Max S650 and have often throught of getting another one to ‘feed my habit’ but i think maintenance would become a chore were as now it’s easy.

Personally and just my view, if it were me I would get one custom made to fit the space I have, and then you just have one tank to look after.

But if as you say your up for it, go for it and enjoy the hobby as many people have multiple systems.
