i didnt think chiton's had legs. The threat of isopods is when they start attaching to the side of your fish. I have had the parasitic kind of ispods and they are more white and have black eyes.

Weird, it looks sectioned light a chiton, but you are correct, I didn't see the legs in the second picture. I should really zoom in more often ;) :)

There are parasitic Isopods, I don't know the which Genus this is but I'd just keep an eye on it to see. Depending on what fish you have it might also just become a snack.

From the top it looks similar, but that second pic gives it away. I wish I had more like that in my reef, reminds me of the Giant Isopods I used to see every day.

AcroNem,
you must excuse my levity. i have had a salty tank set up since Labor day. my second system was just set up at the end of January. i keep finding hitchhikers and am enjoying the discoveries way too much to be completely serious. so far the only issue i have had has been an emerald crab getting personal with a zoa polyp. i have found a tunicate, sea cucumbers, spaghetti worms, sponges, starfish, barnacles, amphipods, and the isopod. who knows what I'll see next, WOO HOO!!
