So I'm having an issue with my inkbird itc306a. I somehow managed to turn on the pause feature. I can't not turn it off for the life of me. So I can't change the temp setting on TS1 and it is annoying the heck out of me. I've done what the manual says multiple times and it isn't working. So I thought I would try and do the factory reset via the manual. That didn't work. The manual isn't very descriptive to doing either turning off the pause or doing a factory reset. Or maybe I'm just an idiot and not understanding the manual. I'm about at my wits end with this and go with a different temp controller.

I don't have that model (I think both of mine are 308s) nor am I familiar with the pulse mode. If it won't reset, it may just be defective. Is it new enough to return/exchange it for another one?

The one I have 306a is the wifi one. Sadly which I can't connect too since I can't connect to 2.4ghz

Yeah, the 2.4GHz aspect is annoying to be sure. I think my Apex is also limited to 2.4GHz. Fortunately I have an older dual-band WiFi router that does both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz.

Well that stinks.
You probably did this but does unplugging do anything.
But fyi all the reef gear is the 2.4 so probably wanna get a duel band

Yea I did and it maintains its settings. That is something I am going to be looking into this week or maybe the next week. It isn't a 911 imo. Idk if I'm over thinking it but it's a half a degree difference between both the settings and I just want to bump up the paused outlet to .3 or.2 degree difference.

In the app, click on the device, click on power, then select on, pause, or off. Just saw this setting mine up.

edit: Just realized you’re not even connected to it through WiFi. Whoops.

Appreciated, I gotta get a new router that has a 2.4ghz band.

My mesh network doesn't have the option to turn off certain bands, as far as I know at least. So anytime I've hooked up any wifi reef tank gear I struggle with this issue. One trick that I've found that helps me is to take the device as far away from any of my access points as I can. 5ghz band doesn't travel as far so once I get toward the outside range of my wifi it can only pick up the 2.4ghz band. Then once it's connected most, if not all, devices will remember the network info and stay paired to that band. So then I just have to take the device back to my tank and plug it back in.

I don't know if this is possible on all routers, but I just gave the 5ghz wifi a different name from the 2.4ghz one.

So devices will only try to connect to the band that I tell them to, in case of phones etc I have it connect to both
