I have two Maxspect Gyre 200s one on each end of the tank. I have tried moving them up bd down but they always wash out my sand on the bottom of the tank. I have them on random flow with the max output at 50%. I have attached closer pictures of left and right side of the tank and a full shot. The sand always washes out in the front middle.

l;ooks like the sand is very fine. This will be hard to elminate if you have much flow at all in the tank. One option would be to add some larger diameter sand in the area that is blowing or mix with the fine sand all over the tanks to reduce the sand movement.

I used CaribSea Special Grade. It works well with fairly high flow.
