So I wanted to start a thread for some of the new comers on this forum to show them that there are struggles in a thriving tank.
Background: So I have been reefing for maybe 5 to 7 years have had only nanos. Four of them to be exact. I have had everything to only softies to now having sps. I am a teacher by trade so the nerdy side of this hobby is right up my ally.
Present tank: I have a 40 gallon nuvo with 2 clowns and a lawnmower blenny. My tank has been up and running for about a year. I haven't had any issues with algae until recently. My parameters have always been spot on and I never over fed.
Present issue: I accidentally over fed one day and my phosphates went up.... This is how it looks now.
I just want to show all the newer people that no matter what you do algae can happen and its not the end of the world. I am in the process of getting rid of it so once i have i will show some pics.

When it takes over, it's a symptom of a problem.
