So i recently got a red sea 300xl and thought i was buying the best when i got the SDC 6.0 pump as sicce has their reputation and i could control my pump remotely with the wifi. Immediately i started having issues with the pump claiming it was "running dry" though it was clearly not happening. I then also noticed after my break in on my skimmer that it kept randomly overflowing to the point of making a giant mess and i couldn't figure out why until one Saturday when i was home and happened to walk by the tank as the pump shut down! Or should i say went into "pause" mode which would in turn cause my sump to fill and overflow the skimmer. After a couple of weeks of trying to reach Sicce (covid didnt help) they said that was weird but offered to send a new pump. So i installed new pump, controller and all wiring as to eliminate any of them as issues. No luck! Within a week, same problem. I reached back out to Sicce and was told to do a factory reset and maybe it was my wifi. So i reset it and this time did not setup the wifi....Well here we are again! I have no idea what is causing this and they can't seem to figure it out so i think this will he my first and last Sicce pump. What do you guys recommend as a replacement?? Any of you guys have this problem?

i have nothing to offer on the pump problem but wanted to say welcome aboard n your in a great place with very knowledgeable folks.beautiful tank as well

Wow you wrote the story for me and exactly what I’m going through. However, they will not return my email or phone calls. I really don’t like going to social media to resolve a problem but I may have to.

Update: Sicce spent a lot of time with me and very professional.
Key information: I simply “paused” my AT&T fiber routers security. Next I followed directions successfully. Once the new device SDC appears in the app, I “unpaused” my AT&T router security and everything is working great.

I really like Sicce pump and wave makers, but they must address the following.
In the event of a power disruption provide me with confidence that the pump will return online to the same status flow and automatically reconnect to my Wi-Fi net work.

1. A power disruption can cause the unit to come back online at a higher default flow however, it does not recall the last settings and does not reconnect to the Wi-Fi net work. So, I have to spend the next 15 to 20 minutes trying to reconnect to my Wi-Fi network.

Constructively, if you solve for these issues you will sell more products and exceed the customers expectations. Network engineer/product manager.

This is concerning. I was all set to buy a Sicce SDC 6.0 for my build, and I am now considering the Vectra S2. Their auto-calibrate feature provides a neutral state which will prevent back siphon.
