So I am really struggling to decide a lighting schedule . It’s a 20 gallon mixed nano reef. I had 6 frags and now I have 4. I lost my hammers. But they went through a lot. I have a Kenya tree and some favias left. I am going to get more hammers and other corals soon . My question is . What light spectrums should I use , and when. There are so many options. Is there a universal spectrum for mixed reefs , like so many hours or 20 %red 40% green 100% blue … etc. I have the current USA loop system. It can program a 24 hour schedule but I don’t know what to set it and I keep changing. And changing is not good. This I have learned already. Things need to be consistent.

Easy light schedule.....

Switch to T5's and throw the LED's in the trash. Simple on/off, and no guessing if the spectrum or intensity is correct.

Edit:
Ab+ seems to be the schedule every seems to land on with LED's. Can't be of much more help as I despise LED's.

Have you seen this thread by any chance?

The best thing to do is pick a setting that looks good to your eyes and stick with it. If there is an "AB+" type preset, start there and tweek the colors until the tank looks pretty to you (for example, I like less blue).
If there aren't any presets, go to ATI's website and look at their charts... You'll see the basic spectrum strengths that are best for coral. You can program you lights with similar peaks and go from there

That is help. That’s advice I haven’t heard yet. Didn’t occur to me to think outside of LED. I’ll do some reading on it
