Not sure what these are and whether worth keeping. I’m considering getting rid of them since they are spreading and covering my chaeto. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

grape caulerpa over took my cheato. Cheato was wall to wall in my sump so I didn't think twice. I harvested the caulerpa from the top think it would open space for the cheato, Long story short, when I finally got around to removing the caulerpa, the cheato had been reduced to the size of a softball.

remove it asap if you want to keep your cheato.

Thank you all. It sounds like Caulerpa is the popular concensus here. I looked it up and it seems as beneficial (if not more beneficial) than chaeto so i think i'll stick with it. HOWEVER, i think it might be consuming too much Nitrate in my tank as now Dinos are starting to growing in my tank and i believe zero nitrates could be the issue.
