Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Sorry to meet under these circumstances though....

The clownfish in the picture has a severe case of marine ich, Cryptocaryon irritans. Once fish loss has begun with an outbreak of this disease, it is VERY difficult to stop it. Ich medications take up to three days to work, and with the fish actively dying, there just isn't that much time. Also, in a compromised state like this, the fish have more difficulty in being exposed to the chemicals needed to cure them.

Do you have a treatment tank available?
What fish remain alive?

thank you Jay

Ive been treating with several medications (Rally/kich ich pro/garlic/focus/metroplex) since the outbreak. I had a powder blue that died almost immediately but he was covered.

I have a large tang, pictured here that is barely surviving but now appears blind with a film on his eyes

I have a flame angel that looks like he has snot in his nose (cant gert a photo)
I have the clown, a tusk, three pajama cardinals and a blue tang remaining alive. Ive lost 4 tangs, two anthias, two angels, etc etc.
I've had ich before but my blue tang was the worst and all fish survived (previous tank)
I'm at a loss and the guys that come service my tank have had zero answers

The treatments you have tried typically do not work in acute cases of ich (when the number of spots on any one fish is greater than about 30). At this point, there are really only two effective treatments; copper or hyposalinity. Neither can be done in tanks with invertebrates in them. And, as I said, they likely won't keep more fish from dying since they take up to 3 days to stop the infection. Sorry!

Can you provide pics under white lighting and also please clean glass before those pics- appears there are dots all over glass making it hard to tell what we are truly looking at

So to try to answer your question - In addition to the above - the reason you would lose fish and shrimp (assuming the fish have Ich - which it seems like) - shrimp are not affected by Ich - so there must also be some chemical issue in the tank - whether its the medications you tried to use - or ammonia from dying fish, etc. So sorry to hear about this though. Hope this helps
