Well I woke up this morning to my phone being charged to 80% abd wondering while my heater wasn't on! Then I proceed to go take a shower then notice nothing on my tank was on or working! I went down stairs in a hurry as I have to go to school abd the breaker just kicked off thankfully I noticed it in time and I think it's fine! That was a close one

It tripped the breaker and not the GFCI? Is the tank plugged into a GFCI? Defiantly need to figure out what caused this to happen so it dosent happen again

Since its on the same breaker as my room my dad thinks since my space heater was on that it just kicked the breaker!

That was probably it. What size heater. Most bedrooms are on a 15 amp circuit. Even a small space heater would use up most of that. How many watts is it? And is this the first time you used it?

Itwas a 1500 watt heater and I've used it before but the timer was on longer

Lol I'm surprised it didn't trip before. That's about 12.5 amps by its self. Add in the heater for the tank, and whatever else is in that circuit and it's pretty loaded.

I would recommend wiring a circuit to your room that is only for your fish tank. My tank used to pop breakers all the time when someone would vacuum or blow-dry their hair. Needless to say, I rewired some things.

You wouldn't want this to happen when no one is home. (pointing out the obvious haha)

Yeah well it's pretty loaded I have Xbox tv surround sound and tank and sometimes heater
