Thanks...

Once it's up and stable I can get back to upping my euphyllia game... ready to rebuild my pretties.

Always seen to come down on the small end, yes.

I keep a 20H cheapo rimmed tank under mine as the res and I get 4 days out of it. The big tank runs at 76-77 and evaps ~ 4.5 gallons a day.
I think mine is 5g but I have my RODI hooked up to it so don't deal.

To protect it from itself, I don't hook my RODI directly in. I've heard too many horror stories about controllers sticking on and dumping RODI into the system until it runs out. Giving it 20 gallons max is just an insurance policy in my brain.

My tank is using about 3 gallons a day. It’s in the basement so that helps. Use to have it hooked to rodi unit but being on well water I went thru DI resin like crazy.

Tunze are also supposed to kick on when the optical sensor tells it to. I have 2 controllers who's relays are stuck closed.

Murphy tells us, if it can fail off, it can also fail on. Clearly this would also happen at about 10pm on a Saturday night and be running 0ppt water into the tank until 10 hours later. Clearly, the smaller the system, the more that would matter.

I have salinity alarms on my apex. I put optical sensors in the reservoir to use as gatekeepers for the water ~ like I was planning to let it empty then fill it programmatically via the apex but I have to hook all that stuff up still.

Truth. But stuck in the office on this "good" friday.

Most of the equipment is ready to go... looks like a hot fire hazard mess... there will be a nice cabinet and shelves and nothing showing but the DJ strips and controllers when it's done. But let's face it... as @Lost in the Sauce said that is a secondary priority to getting Big Momma running at full steam...

My wire pile looked like that pile ate four double doubles, until maybe two months ago.
