C) Once you get euphyllia bommie set, have you considered making any half buried coves or natural looking structure tops, in the sand bed in front of your main structures?

You have so much sand bed up there, You have so much opportunity to use cool rocks as visual brakes.

There's a lot of new sand and rock there, correct?

Those look like diatoms to my untrained eye.

Zero Nitrates isn't helping anything either.

@tcarstens4 i agree with this, nutrient values and available silicates are fueling a diatom outbreak. Work to increase No3 and maybe even Po4. At a minimum I like having mine at No3 10-15 Po4 .15 (+/-.05). I have to dose in order to keep mine there. NeoNitro and NeoPhos.

Raising your salinity to closer to 35 may help as well.

I changed the sand out recently on the one side, and I added some of the super old rock from the 3+ year old tank into my sump(about 20lbs) then a good 30 lbs was already live rock from my other systems so it was about 50/50 living and dead rock

Thank you sir. I am really excited about it. Will get things finished up hopefully this weekend between soccer games. We have one away on Sat and one home on Sunday.

tis the season! I was out for my daughters practice in the freezing wind yesterday afternoon. One of the dads had to go sit in the car because he was so inappropriately dressed... his lips started turning blue.
