It was this big... Now its this big...

@Nate Chalk don't give me a sad face... theres gotta be hope somewhere...

I should have taken pictures of the rot. But no... nooooo... i had to get into action. After 30 minutes of adding the cipro. the roting stopped. But, for how long?
they look a ton better than before. I am positive. I just am sad seeing stress because i've been there as you know.

you are doing a great job

Ok... I'm pleading for some advice.
What I did
100% water change
Cleaned equipment as best as possible, i have been continuously.
Removed healthy nems to display To prevent further infection. They're looking great.

Added 250mg of cipro, i dont care if it degrades with light.
Added the split nems after cleaning off rott.
What I'm doing tonight
Another cleaning 100% water change 250 mg of cipro.

Any corrections will be greatly appreciated.

I think you are on the right track. Stay the course. Like I said the other day these stress splits can be very touchy. Even with doing everything correctly you may not have success. I think you are doing what you can.

Why are you doing 100% water changes daily?

There's that protocol in the nem forums. If they're wrong... danm..

Plus, i have needed to remove sediment from the bottom of the glass as it refused to siphon up.

Let me further explain inside the tank i add tuberware and place the nems with their rocks in it, kind of the same you do with torches. They are lifted out covered with water.

It doesn't take long to clean, about 15 minutes max to refill and replace nems. Container goes under water, nems gently placed back.

Weekend reefing goals...
Get frag tank to the house.
Plumb frag tank.
Get frag tank lights hung.
Get water in frag tank.

If I get that done... start scape for left side of reef.

I've never done 100% water changes when treating nems with Cipro. I've currently got two H.mags in a biocube and I'm doing ~50%, every other day plus dosing up the new water to 10/.1 prior to the change

A lot of the slime/sediment came from the monti
It was stinking up my water recently. So, hopefully, these 2 can recover in peace.

I'll do 50% and re add meds tonight.

the blow comment was mostly speaking on your behalf. That's why I quoted both :winking-face-with-tongue:..... I'm already excellent at that.

Sorry this is sad. I know nothing about treatment but I do know few coral growers that does a lot to frag systems when they have problems. Friend just did his spa system a month ago. Almost positive they don’t do water changes.
