It was this big... Now its this big...

Question for the room

so my work paid me An extra like $950
According to my check stub it says it was back pay. Even gives me a date for the week they said they owed me……BUT I went and pulled that check stub and they already paid me for said week.

so should I mention this? Or just go on my way like I didn’t notice
Lost says to ask the payroll people about it. It's probably right and you have a clear brain. Even if it's not and they claw it back, cosmic justice is a thing.

I'd be careful... if you spend it and it turns out to be an error they will take it back...

So funny thing is.
When I first started working this job I was on a shift that got a shift differential.
When I switched jobs within the company said differently should have went away.
Well it didn’t. I informed two managers and HR. I still get said shift differential.

generally I don’t check my check stubs. But obviously this was a big enough difference for me to look.

I mean if they took it back would they take back the 950 minus taxes. Because I definitely got hit for taxes EDIT: taxes were an extra 185 (which mean it was a little more than double)
