With a few 1/2" mur-loc 90's, you can essentially put it anywhere. I see room for the small pump needed, just need to route the lines to wherever you want to hand the reactor.

A neat trick if you don't want deformation is to pack it tight with sand. Then when you bend it the opposing sides don't collapse. Thinning the walls isn't a concern given the pressures we run at; just bend it slow.

This is what I’m working with- I can’t fit a regular sized brs reactor on the walls and here’s a pic of the sump

Mine aren't on the walls or anything. And it's easy to service

Are the fuge and return section of the sump swapped? It seems odd to me that you need to reach over your return lines to service the fuge.

Looks to be a trigger systems sump…the design was a rudimentary Triton sump…I have one, on my back porch …and for the reason you asked about above…fuge is on the wrong side…I actually rotated mine 180 and stretched the plumbing out… still was a pain in the…

Yeah this is a used trigger crystal sump(they don’t make this anymore) and it’s layout is totally stupid, it requires you to plumb into fuge separately with a pump or plumb it to your overflows like I did and just keep the level slightly higher

wow. I'd be tempted to find a used 30 gallon sump (like an eshops) on OfferUp or craigslist. If you just periodically check or setup automation to check for you you I see them popping up for $40 sometimes. I wouldn't want to spend $400 on a new sump for an old system but opportunistically upgrading used bits is ok in my book!
