Itch on black tang for over two weeks now

Hello reefers
I have a 500gallon tank dominated tank with a black tang in it .. every since I got him he had the white line of stress on the top do his body due to shipping .. starting from day 2 he has had saltwater ich .. it’s been around 2-3 weeks now and the itch is still visible on his body .. I always thought that itch falls off the fish after a week or so and lays on the sand bed .. anyone else had this happen to them or is there something I’m not getting ? Thx for your help
P.S Fish is eating well daily(eats pellets but mostly Nori sheets) and is getting along well in the tank .. also goes to the cleaner shrimps (8 shrimps in the tank ) for cleaning daily ..

I agree. A freshwater dip (if possible) would be ideal for figuring out if flukes are apart of this.

had him for about 2 and a half weeks now.. the lfs did quarantine him I’ll ask them if it was with copper or not ...

What makes you say it’s not itch ? The size of the spot ?

Its darker, and it seems imbeded

The spots are too large and their shape isn't right for ich.

Also, they appear to be on top of the skin. Ich trophonts embed under the epithelium (outer skin layer).
