In my tank I just have live rock, substrate, saltwater, and pods. Started set up on Tuesday (June 26), rock in Saturday (June 30), and I have left everthing alone. Untill today I dicovered this dude. Will it stay alive till I come back from vacation, that is when I plan to add fish etc. Vacation is July 14-24.

It’s an asterina star. They’re basically immortal lol. I removed one from my tank once and forgot it in a cup with some water for about 2 weeks and it was still alive when I found it. Some people say they can eat zoas and some SPS, I never had a problem in my old tank, but ensured I don’t get any in my new one.

Yep. That's a little Astarina star. Some people consider them a pest but some like them. I haven't ever had any issue with them and rather like them.
