Its impossible (parameter issues)

I used a hydrometer for my fish only tank for a while, bye eventually broke down and picked up a refractometer and now would consider it essential. If you had a known water source...like some good premade saltwater, then you could at least measure it with your kent and make yours the sane.

Did u mix your water in the tank and assume it was 10 gallons in volume or did u mix your water with 10 gallons outside of the tank and add the premixed water to your tank?

Maybe you need to see If your lfs has a maintence service and maybe they can help with your issues. It seems to me you are having lots of problems and you need to get some help. I know you have probably spent lots of money trying to maintain your tanks and you are still having issues. We have tried to help you but we fell that you are not taking our advice.

Well im taking your advice and doing some research, in this hobby you cant always just go off of one or to peoples opions. For instance people said buy leds best lights out there. I asked is it worth to buy the dimmable ones, they said "youll be fine with non dimmable". Now look, bleached a few corals and made the corals that didn't bleach, not happy. SO when you have thousands of dollars put into something, you cant always just listen to 1-2 people on there advice. Im not saying you guys have bad advice but sometimes people who just started the hobby are giving other people advice even though they dont have enough experience. And what advice do you believe i didn't take?

When I first got interest in this hobby I went to Barnes and Nobles and got a few Saltwater books. I like teaching myself stuff and still do that today.
