I'm eye's swelled shut asthma attack allergic to cats.
and they are the top predator of songbirds in this country.
and andrea spends more on bird seed than i do on the tank.
so a "sleeping" cat is a good cat.
Odd thing about my mother in laws turf. A hawk was over there for about 4 months now. Cat population is now reduced.

HAHAHA my mom has a very small dog and always gets really nervous if there is a hawk or owl in the area.

Just trying to get a good spot in hell. I know i am heading there anyway may as well try for the front row.
Sad part is, all dogs go to heaven. All cats go to .... Yuh right down there. Might want to get out of there.

The hawk keeps eye balling her dog. But, with the free cat food. I guess that makes for an easier target.

I've got Dachshunds and a Massive white owl that lives in the sycamore tree next door. It has come down into my tree to check the dogs out at night when I'm taking them out, but I think it decides it don't want none...

I need to get the facts on my mother in laws old Dachs. He was a FK.... 25 yrs old and died after he ate an entire pizza or something. I loved the story. The dog was a bottomless pit.

I keep mine pretty trim. The biggest hereditary issue with doxies and how they are built, Is hip and back issues later in life. Not letting them get overweight and not letting them go up and down. Stairs are easy ways to keep thier bodies healthy long term. I've had quite a few last into their twenties. Many late teens.

I got big hawks, great horned owls in the spring and fall, and currently an adult bald eagle making the rounds.
apparently we have too much nature for them to bother with cats.

Must be. Gold eagles roam around here. Plenty of hawks. Maybe the one at my inlaws likes cat. Kind of strange.

They are either gold or bald. I know we got the gold in the New Mexico. Up here, they could be either or. I am not about to net one to find out. Bald eagles are bigger than the gold. I never got close enough to really tell the difference. I still think both are beautiful to watch.

If you ever seen those claws up close and personal. You'd know why!
oh I will take your word for it. :face-with-tears-of-joy: Just your comment about it and then thought of someone trying to actually net one to find out, made me laugh.

We had the fortune of rescuing a juvi gold eagle. OMG, the talons on that one! Could have tore me a new one.
