I think there was a thread somewhere of a person that told their lfs they have mislabeled an eel. when he came to purchase it he was surprised to find that they exponentially increased the price after he told them what it really is. apparently the rule doesn't apply when they can make more money.

Yeah, they mislabeled a Foxface at mine the other day and wanted me to pay an extra $50.

Went to the lfs to see if they could get bumble bee snails... I don't have confidence in the locals no longer.

They kept raising their eye brows at me and thought I was talking about freshwater assassin snails. I told them I needed to get rid of vermetid snails, and .... We'll anyhow, they'll keep an eye out, their catalog didn't have any listed.

I'm just going to enjoy my coffee now.

Edit: I have seen emerald crabs eat the snails.... The only issue is... Crab....

For me, going to my LFS is a lot like going to my local hardware store. The employee comes up and ask if there is anything they can help me with / what I am looking for... I tell them and I either get a blank look or bad information. Maybe I am the problem.

Well, the in laws can't catch a break. Someone has passed away (blood clots), putting my mom in law in mental shut down. It was her sister in law.

Amd cynarina is still slowly declining... sigh.
Everyone else is fine. Calling the lfs tomorrow for updates on bumble bee snails.

I was going to also add... I'm finding it so very difficult to believe the reports I've read on r2r of ribbon eels killing their fish. I never had a ribbon eel fish aggressive, unless it was stressed. Like mollies.
While the firefish still doesn't trust her, she could snag him at night in his den.


I did move the pancake trachy, the polythoa would evetually kill it.

Yes it is, she's doing horribly mentally. So much in a few months time span. It happened so quickly, they didn't have time to go see her, the story is worse than I told it. I'll leave it at that.

I was going through pics of the ribbon eel. She wont change color at all. But, I am sure she's still too young to really get her adult colors in. I really don't care if she turns blue (he) or goes back to back to being a banana. I keep waiting for the molly and firefish to get consumed. She doesn't even care about them. I'll keep trying to get pics of her sizing up the tang and cbb. She checks to see if they are food cause she's pretty blind.

I guess the plague has passed. They are growing in the sand bed as well. The urchin planted the scrambled eggs @sfin52 gave me in the garden as well. So maybe, I can resume my zoa dream garden again.
