I am so done with angelfish. Wrasse are fast. Angels are slow, cold, calculating killers.

That's right. Wrasse dart off like torpedos and attack with precision.

Angelfish are like farts. Some are just noisy and stinky. Others, once you've been hit. It's too late.

Oh, my local fishstore guy said "i don't like biota fish. They're harder to feed and they're afraid of everything. Wild caught adapt easy, don't run from food you're offering."

Not sure why that is. But, he has 7 yellow biota tangs and they all act like they're next for a sushi wrap.

I’ve had two and they were both pretty peaceful but then they were in my aggressive tank. I do have a flame on the way though.

Everything I’ve gotten from biota has been brave and has eaten everything. If it weren’t for their prices and their fish being tiny I’d buy a lot more from them.

I guess it depends on the interaction they get?

Everything I’ve gotten from biota has been brave and has eaten everything. If it weren’t for their prices and their fish being tiny I’d buy a lot more from them

I've kept several angels, pygmy, nox, coral, emperor, Koran and now regal.

Most aggressive was coral beauty and now the regal. The others were just nousy lil farts.

Coral beauty behaved the same way as the regal. Knew the fishes travel routes, set up attack points to ambush.

Yep. I’ve had 4 very different species of fish from them and they were all very easy despite supposedly being expert only fish.

My choco is growing quick. But still hoping no aggression takes place.

Oh it wasn’t aggressive. Velvet. And meh I don’t hate tangs. Just don’t want them in my tank. I love seeing them in the wild.

I suppose no angels are safe with meaty corals around? I'd feel bad about my acans, but heck no on losing the trachy or my lobo! How do the pectinias fare with angels?

Genicanthus are usually reef safe

It's all based on the angel. But, most lps are on the menu. Zoas can be and usually are.

Some angels will eat everything.

Pectinias were left alone by the regal. i cant say that for all angels though. All angels will beeline for acans and trachies.

Well …. I’m leaning towards that nem 75 gal tank……maybe with zoas on islands, a rock pile for the nems and GSP on the back glass????

Essentially no maintenance….could leave purple in there and then I could have him kick demon fish but?

I just realized if I do that that means no clowns in the new tank…..

I want clowns in the new tank…..hmmm need a nem that won’t over populate
