Bleaching is probably combination of low nutrients and clown harassment.

Numbers are nice! What do you use for roasting the beans and where do you get your green beans from? What variety/nationality do you get? What stage do you roast til? You just drop a little line and ignore all the important stuff!!!

Numbers lookin solid. Curious what your keeping your nutrient levels at. Any other dosing going on besides afr? Do they include trace elements?
They do have trace elements in afr.

Phosphates been very low. .05 or under.
Nitrates are under 5. I still have some ab+ from redsea. Its 6 month old bottle. I cant tell if coral hate or like the junk. Slimmer cap is off. Maybe i need to remove socks?

Coffee coral. Cast iron skillet and a whisk to keep them moving.

Btw , I'll grab a bean I haven't roasted before. However roast to second crack. I do espresso. I dont and cant stand french roast. So a medium roast.

Wait, you roast inside the house? I use a popcorn popper (the old kind with the flares on th side instead of the screen on the bottom). So much chaff and smoke. Ethiopian Yirgachef is my favorite bean to roast - I go for second crack and just getting a decent glaze of oils releasing, sometimes right at the start of third crack.

I use reef roids to get phosphates up. Not sure how to get nitrate up other then dosing straight no3

You roast small batches and use immediately or do you rest them for the recommended 18-24 hours to allow off gassing of the CO2?

Rest at 12 hours... 24 if I dont be lazy about it. The best flavor develops after 18 hours. Some beans took near 3 days.

Happy belated birthday @Mibu! I finally got caught up on your thread.

I also have a May birthday so I think we're up to 17 lol
Thank you! I would say "hope all is well." But, the fish show it is :)
