It's Just a Tank

Do we know if mandarin gobies may eat the acoel flatworms?
I looked into it at the time and didn't find much to suggest that they would.

But in theory if they are pod eating flatworms and you diminish the amount of pods, it could affect their numbers as well.

Quite the headache.
And now I have full evidence cbb is happy again.
Nose Face full of bristles.

Aiming for a better pic...

Just gonna leave us hangin'...how's things going ?
Fed Eli 2 swordtail platies. Cobberband bristles are gone now. Everyones doing well. Flatworms are back. Reducing feedings. Leaving fuge lights on 24/7

Added 2 female (just my luck) emerald crabs. I don't think females have the claw power to bust up vermetid snail shells.

Oh, Eli must know the difference between tank additions and her food. The strike down is impressive. She could have destroyed the solar wrasse in one bite. These platies were just as big. Guess he isnt red enough.

when I dropped the emerald crabs in, the wrasses and tang went for the legs. Tried for a bite. They had this weird posture "is that food? What is that?"

Entertaining friday.

So, I'm trying here. New wrasse was isolated in a tank by himself for over a month. He's surrounded by active fish and he's terrified to leave the corner.
He's using the pectinia as cover.
It's feeding time. No one has nipped at the chrysus. Exvept the molly, her name is now Richard.

As far as he goes.

New pectinia, the piece i glued wasbusted off by Eli when she went for the feeders. Flesh is growing..

CBB is taking chunks out of the micromussa. I don't think reducing feedings is the best idea right now. So, back to feeding the cbb on a regular basis of 5-8 times a day... Yes... She was fed a lot. And with last weeks incident, I am sure she wants those calories back. She was up all night picking at the live rock.

I may move the new pectinia, it's growing new mouths, but... I'd only move it for better pictures. So, I'll stop with my selfishness since it's showing progression.
Terrible picture, but location is the worst for pics. The eyes are beginning to gain color, but new eyes are grey.

After adding the 2 wrasses, all for reef dosing has dramatically went up. From 20ml to 35 per day. I split this 15 morning and 20 before bed time.
I guess there is a combination of things. 2 small micro hammer colonies. 8+ heads per. The new acro, recovering miyagi, added nitrates to stabilize at 25 nitrates.

About the flatworms.... I have not seen one on the glass this morning. Wondering if they sleep at night ?

Riptide has a lot of gonis id like..
Then I saw this on p.o.t.o auction... birthday card about to be played...

Saw that too. Goodness. Did you see the huge pectinia. Almost jumped on it.

Nope, where is it?
Well it's gone now from the auction I got a pic though... It went for like $150 or something I think. Gosh ... Kicking myself looking again.

Here's it's brother. Growing fairly quick ish.

Would've been cool to have both. Love all the pectinia.

Still need my yellow coris. You make me jelly still.

Also, I do like to watch poto auctions. But, I have never tried to get a win.

Corals anonamous has another pectinia frag at 116 ... but needs serious attention.

So, the one i just got is elongata (fastest growth rate of pectinia species), flesh is growing well atm. Austrailia has a species out, I do not know much about. Corals.com has had a few show up and I have been tempted to snag one.
The one I got from @fishguy242 is pectinia alcicornis (slower growth rate)

As for the chrysus, she's pretty timid :(
