um yeah ,VHO only, now 30 yr old bulbs still working today !!... ;) :)
Pretty fascinating. Not
gunna lie.

I added my first kenya tree a few months ago (ya'll saw my old tank, so many leathers, no kenyas) and it has beautiful red hue polyps.... BUT.... it released from the tiny rubble rock it was sent in on, floated around the tank for days, then finally latched in a really weird spot. So far no babies, but not a ton of anything happening with it in general. It's staying in what will be the pony tank so I'm not worried if it creates a forest.

Also, congrats on the frag pack, that chalice was on my list and I'm still sad I didn't get one.
Getting t5's. I don't like these led's on their own.
I had a chalice before mycedium species. Took me a bit to find the name. Grew from half an inch to over 6 inches in 2 years. I really wanted to get their spitfire chalice though. I need to pull my bta's and get them treated. They are acting sick. So, it's a matter of how to get them off the rocks.

So after the tree ended up with infection, it looks like infection hit the bubble tips. Once I get them out of the tank, they are going into treatment right away. 500 mg of cipro per 10g.

Updates... the inferno is spitting out sand. Insides are slightly hanging out.
Cipro was ran around 10am as soon as she dropped from the rock.
Will it be safe to pull the other rock with the monti to add the other bta for treatment?

100% water change at 7 or 8 pm. With new cipro.

Ps the heater is not on. Its there to keep the bta from floating around like a baloon.

And who wants to be the first to tell me my system is too immature to keep a bta? :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Alright. Other bta is out. Monti will probably die in 7 days

Not a 10g but a 5 gallon. Going to keep using 500mg of cipro for the next 3 days. I'll cut pills into 2 and go for a 250mg for the last 4 days.

Monti should be fine. I've treated my entire reef for 7 days before. Didn't lose anything.

I was debating, I think they are the only ones in need of treatment, I hope...

I am more worried on the light strength. They are not for reef really... >.>

Even at sub par lighting I think you will be good for a week. It may brown out and go dormant for a min. But it should be good

Sounds good. I'm just happy the inferno responded very well to the first dose of cipro. But, it's not over. Only had the lights on now for 2 hours. I figure she still needs some light and it wont hurt nothing. Next dose happens in about an hour and a half. And then bed time.

Oh I'm rooting for you. Those are purty nems. Watching since I'll be trying a bta again soon, I'll need to know what to do and watch for.

Guts exposed, weakness, not inflating, difficulties holding on to a surface. The list can be a little lengthy. I'd rather treat before tentacles drop/shed.

The bubble tips really hit me with "they're sick". I was not waiting any longer.

But what happened that caused all this havoc? Tree died and released bad stuff? Or was it the new zoas duh duh duh.
Those dang zoas! I should have known....
Question Want Me To Kill Them GIF

I wonder what the source of havoc really is? Only the trees on the left side got infected. So far, fragged parts of the tree by Eli are looking great and growing well.

I've been watching the other coral too, they are all acting normal.

Still not sure what happened to my blenny after I moved sps island, who is now back in place.
