It's Just a Tank

I'm still waking up. Love the new corals you got though :)
I hear that , I’ve been up since 4:30 for work … the new corals definitely have a space in my heart especially the torch. I think I picked one that’s about to split

I still worry about cyanide catching with them.
Yeah. I’ve asked if my LFS will reserve one for a month for me but nope.
I seen a few cases on here that are heart breaking. They are that fish that hits with a "spur of the moment". Someone see's how pretty they are and $$$. They put it in a tank with other fish before the eel even eats and it all goes downhill from there. They might try again, but hopefully not before more research.

I am sure many lfs bank on lack of knowledge.

Never kept a ghost, they are bigger bodied. But, I seen them in better shape and most ate at the stores vs the rhinomuraena quaesita (ribbon eel)
Mine hid behind my immovable rock wall. Never came out and never ate. If I were to get a ribbon or another ghost I think I’d need to train it onto dead food in their own tank before adding them to the DT.

If they are healthy, this is easier to do than you think. All of mine ate frozen shrimp as a first meal. They just need to feel safe. Isolation is best and works like a charm. 3/3. But the 4th, if I get one, feels like it will be the one I fail. And I haven't even gotten a 4th yet.

A 4th one?
Get a banded snake eel instead! Same care but also very beautiful!

So, baby appointment was yesterday. No ultra sound. But, they are going to try to get me in, in a couple of weeks. Or as soon as they can. Baby heart beat is very strong.

Unfortunately, there is not much they can do for the rest of my situations. It will either lighten up, or I gotta cope.

On the reef news, I keep forgetting to order glass scrapers...... My glass looks bad.

If you makes you feel any better if been about 3 maybe 4 months since I have scraped my glass :zipper-mouth-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Congrats on the heartbeat. I always felt more at ease once I heard each babies for the first time.

Still having morning all day sickness? Or other issues creeping up?
I can't call it morning sickness, always kicks in at night... Why at night I have no idea!

No new issues. But, "morning" sickness is not as strong as it was. My memory is shot though.

Went to buy lunch meat yesterday. Forgot to grab the bags at the deli, and the guy at the deli tracked us down. My husband told him "don't mind her, she's pregnant and doesn't know what she's doing"

I love hearing the heart beat. I actually was able to relax yesterday.
No, I can hardly see my whatever these are called....

Mine always kicked in the worst at night too right before I went to bed.. I would have bouts during the day but the ones that made me hug the toilet were always in the PM.

Pregnancy brain is real. I put milk in the pantry on more than one occasion. :winking-face-with-tongue:

My memory is shot anyhow. Or the pregnant brain never went away, yeah I'll go with that.

I have another kid birthday coming up next month so I was reminiscing about baby things and it occurred to me that over a 10 year period I was in a constant state of changing diapers, I had my brood in a 10 year span, so just as one got out of diapers, BAM, there's another one. Seems like always pregnant or a baby or both.

I literally could not do another one. 4 is a TON of work and the last with his differences makes it 10x harder than the first 3. Plus I had no support system, no family for babysitting, no trusted anyone. In fact, not a single time had anyone other than myself or my husband ever watched any of our kids. The only time I've spent a night away from my kids is in the hospital having another kid.

I don't recommend doing that. Have help. Mom burnout is real and don't feel bad for being tired or needing help. I would have taken help if there was help offered, but no family around so it just wasn't an option.

I'm definitely in your corner, so if you need an ear ever I'm certainly available!

I did leave the milk out last night. I got the look...

I don't like my inlaws, I don't trust any of them, especially after my sister in law and mom in law talked about how "cute" my son would be in girl clothes. No No NO! . And my sister is in new mexico and can ... I am done with her. That's a bitter story.
My toddler is pretty well behaved. Thankfully. He's been out of diapers for over 2 years. That was the biggest relief. Diaper off during the day, diapers on at night after 1 yr of age. Made my life so much easier.

The dogs.... I can't do anything with out them going crazy. I close a door, and they go nuts. Both of them. Scuzzy (shiba) will howl and Sunny (doby) will attack the doors. I wake up at night and the shiba is following me around now as well. She's picking up bad habits from Sunny.

It's funny. Husband gets out of bed once in awhile and the dogs growl at him. Not the kind "i'm going to attack you" but the kind that says "why are you here?"

As for coral and the fish, I haven't fed my coral in a couple of weeks I need to do this.

Fish will splash around if I forget a feeding, so thankfully they do remind me.

Now, I hope pregnancy brain doesn't stay with me :(

I'd forget my rear end if it wasn't attached.

Milk in Germany was shelf stable. sold in a bag, room temp till it was needed.

Do what you can do and leave the rest. automatic feeder for the tank, maybe phase out coral feeding so they get used to whatever they can catch. not sure if that is a thing...

I loved hearing the heartbeat. almost bought an ultrasound machine to listen at home. still kinda wish I did...but it was stressful every time they couldn't find it right away.

best of luck and you will be in my prayers!

this is precisely the reason I never bought one of the those home ones... I didn't want to give myself a panic if it was user error.

Irradiated? Had that in Namibia. It took a few accidents to realize that the milk would never go bad while sealed but as soon as that seal was broken it was like normal milk.

same reason for us. if the pro has a hard time, what chance do I?

maybe. i was 12 when i was there, so not paying a lot of attention to why the milk was fine, just that it was. true, once opened it needed to go in the fridge. and in the holder, cuz it was bagged, not boxed.

edit, the goggle machine says it's ultra-high temp pasteurization.

Not my best photos. Things look ok.
