It's Just a Tank

No I didn't have disk as even in 1980's the commodore 64 just with cassette tapes was super expensive like £ 500 and to get one that took disks and to buy games on disks was so expensive so had to wait ages to load game on side a then play few levels then load side b then continue playing 15 or so minutes later ,was tedius lol

Apparently introduction price in america was $ 595 equilevelant to $ 1500.00 in todays money .
I didnt have commodore 64 in second picture. I had a later model which was more streamlined but still big huge thing with cassette deck and joystick lol

I had this

I'm with ya' Simon ,now i just feel old...;Oldman
My dad was in his 60's and ran around like a teenage boy. I never knew how he needed so little sleep and had so much energy.. He passed at 65 he passed away from small cell lung cancer.
I grew up with 2 to 4 hours of sleep per day. Now I want to sleep 12 to 20 hours. ;Sour

@Mibu I apologize for engaging in a little off tracking .

back to reefing !
No worries. OMG I was so tired. The moment my young one was asleep, I was gone!
I just woke up and need to roast coffee. Nothing to grind :( Tank lights on in a few, the fish begging begins soon.
Then I get to see who the urchin has removed and try to glue down again. :( he makes me work.

This is why I removed the urchin from my system .
they were always bulldozing across my corals knocking everything over .
Have a wonderful day .

I can't get rid of the bugger. He's a headache. But so funny. I need to probably get more putty for a more permanent fix. I just never know when I will need to move the frags up or lower...

So, color updates on the acan.
The orbits, they were burnt orange. I have a day time pic somewhere. Oh well.

Currently under new lights.

And now the fish! I got in a few nice shots of the scopa. She getting chubby!

This is what happens when you haven't figured out shutter speed. Working on it...

Firefish colors are amazing!

She looks great. :)
She's actually growing pretty quick. She was smaller than the cbb, and now bigger. I haven't even had her for a month. So, almost an inch in growth.

Edit: yes I have, got her on september 19th.. Time is flying.

Warning, lots of pictures.

So... My bubble tip anemone, after showing much signs of light stress. It was time to break out the par meter. Husband said so. Have I ever said how much I love him? He made me happy. The readings are off the charts!
After recording what I could, at least what I thought was important. Here is what I gathered. The lights from the water surface are at 8 inches. I should raise them 1 more but whatever. I did take 2 photos of 30% and 95% but, the camera didn't register the change. Welcome to cameras I guess.

At 95% the sps setting. ALL Numbers are divided by 2 according to false readings of user reports.

30% manual setting par reading. I had to adjust to match my orbit leds.

Now some picture updates. The sps were loving the 40% the bubble tip was not :(
We will work up there slowly.

Green slimer. Due to the size and distance of the slimer, detail is difficult to pick up. The green is slowly returning. Polyps are extending better.

The goni maybe showing signs of bleaching. I hope not.

Green veins in the blasto's skin. Slightly visable.

My poor bubble tip taking shelter. :( ;Sorry

Much die off from the orbit ic lights. Extension is happening.

The victim of falling off a rock. My birdsnest

Was losing a lot of color, did not extend polyps before. It is returning to life. Monitpora capricornis.

She's just gorgeous. Lovely Foxy!

That is this weeks update!

...
Your corals are looking beautiful under the new light!
...and the foxface is just marvelous! It is still too bad it nips corals, but I'm excited to get her and to meet in-person.

Hopefully AO can become a good LFS for you as well. My other option for an LFS is north and west of me, so too far to be a good consideration for you (probably 2.5-3 hours from your area).

She's a terrific fish. You're going to love her. 2.5 hours away is a trip to franks (fishguy's) house.
Seems like very good lights and not bad priced either ,most corals of yours seems happy with the change and hopefully others adjust with time
I should have taken par readings on day 1. We'll have to increase intensity weekly now. The sps loved being blasted. I have a big baby bubble tip though.

Those are some nice fish butts! JK everything is looking good.

It's been a very interesting week. Tomorrow I get to travel a little and take a look at a fish store an hour away. The facebook page looks super promising. I am still waiting on seneye to contact me to upgrade my firmware on the par meter.

Those are some stout numbers on your par readings. Good thing you lowered the intensity. Your bubble would be hiding under the rocks if it kept up. But looking good over all, bit further along than mine!!

I love fish store trips, never know what you are going to find. I only go for corals now. Been having great luck with TSM for fish, so I'm not changing that. But they don't have much in the way of corals.

I thought I posted my gold hammers in here. I guess I missed one. FINALLY able to get the gold to show!
Is that the micro?

This guy has some nice elegance colonies and hammers and torches as well.
I am a sucker for hammers. I have to go see them! But, I keep away from walled colonies.
That’s crazy! That gold is beautiful.
