It's Just a Tank

Too bad about the Noopsyche power supply... I hope they give a good answer.

Got him!
Kind of...
Beautiful! Get his tail in the picture next time! :D

I feel like, I am missing something.
Your tank looks amazing! The copperband and firefish look great. Is that a third firefish in the center of the picture swimming directly away with tail facing us?

new phone camera.

fish dont like it.

Your new camera must be nice, as these are high quality pictures!

P.S. Foxface is doing great and gets along well with the other fish in my QT.

I have 3 clowns and 2 firefish. Love seeing my firefish swimming around freely and not stuck in their cubby.

The new camera is fine. Still dialing that in.

Hopefully NP says i can use a different ps as time waiting replacement will be lenghty.

That foxface is a coward. Hopefully she stays that way and keeps to the pack of fish :)

Oh, that center fish is a clownfish. I just got a couple firefish yesterday that are in 5g-1 QT. One stands on the bottom near the front of the tank and watches what I do but the other hides behind the sponge filter. I'll see how they do in my setup when finished.

Yeah, I'm glad she just minds her own business and hangs out with the other foxes. One of the Fiji foxfaces occasionally chases the other a bit, so I'll see how the pairing goes. At some point, I'll probably end up with another Fiji foxface or 2 to increase likelihood of a good pairing, though then I would end up with extra(s) to deal with since I will probably only have 1 pair in my reef.

The chases happen with all fish. Even my firefish bicker at each other. You know what to be worried about. I don't have to tell you.

I kind of like the food fights though. Every feeding they act like they haven't eaten in days. Someone grabs a chunk of food and there is about 5 other chunks, but they all fight for that one piece because a fish has it.... I need to make their food today as well. i'll try to get that on camera now I have a replacement. Hopefully the videos wont be grainy.

Husband woke up, heard the news... I cannot repeat what he said...

Ha ha yes feeding time always entertaining .
Lots food floating around tank .
Then one takes a biggish bit in chomps some off and spits it out and then goes straight for it but another fish zooms in and grabs it ^_^
My frozen cubed foods nearly finished ,I'm pondering on buying lots different variety of sea food and cut and dice it real small then freeze it and use my own mix.
Sure I can watch some videos or read a few threads to refresh my memory on stuff that's recommended to use.

I miss my firefish. :(. Only comes out at feeding time now and otherwise is in his cave. Used to be out all the time but two things happened that changed everything. First I added pinky the possum and that seems to bother him but I think the main thing was he took a leap of faith at feeding time right onto the floor. I got him back in within a minute but he’s been hiding ever since :(. Still healthy and eating well but he’s such a pretty fish so I feel bad

Yes, there is no obvious aggression between the foxes but I am trying to watch closely to see if I get any indicators to determine if mine are each male or female.

I also find the food fights funny, although they don't happen often in my QT's yet. One of the Fiji foxes hits the food right when I add it with the other close behind. The one-spot fox hangs back for a while before joining in. The engineer gobies each grab a large chunk of food then swim to the bottom to chew and swallow. The clowns just dart in here and there to grab bits.

There are lots of recipes for frozen food. I make my own using different raw seafood types from the grocery store.

Looking for a psu for the lights is not an easy task.

100-240v - 50-60hz is easy but here is the kicker. I can't find the exact ranges of 2.5a and the 6 amps. It's usually 1.5 amps. Or output is at 5a max. Really ;Dead atm.

i did find

SHNITPWR 24V Power Supply 6A 144W AC/DC Adapter 100V~240V AC to DC Converter 24volt 6amp 5.5A 5A 4.5A 4A

on amazon... I wonder if it would work?

So, todays update is a cooking one.
I made custard this morning for cream puffs. After that it was time to put together some croissants. Followed by sweet potato pies.
I really wanted to get the detail of the layers here. It's so so...

It's all home made. Otherwise, it wouldn't be so ugly.
Puffs will be made in about an hour. I don't have enough baking sheets.

and... what time is dinner... :D ;):)
tomorrow at noon.

currently on

step 1. But done with the rest.
  1. Cream Puff Shells:
  2. Preheat oven to 400F
  3. Bake at 400F for 25-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow.

;Facepalmi think i'll be a lil late, trying though...;):D:)

Some changes to the sump (miner) added a ball valve. Waiting for the day everything slips out of place
Just FYI some of that green plastic tubing will leech ... I think aluminum. There are threads here on R2R about it. It is crazy and I would have never thought that those would be the culprits. Anyway if you get and ICP back with elevated aluminum you will know where it is from.

Thank you for this very important warning. Looking into pvc pipes now.
